and if you’re traveling on a
budget, having a realistic base budget ensures a quality experience without compromise.
Travel is always about getting what you pay for — meal quality, accommodation standards, and itinerary details all affect the overall cost.
For smaller private groups, fixed shared expenses will be higher per person, while larger groups can enjoy a more cost-effective rate.

However, larger groups can share fixed costs (like transportation), making the price per person more affordable.

This typically includes: guide, transport, accommodation, meals, entrance fees, experiences, professional planning, and local support.
⑤ How is the cost of a “Customized Private Tour” calculated?
It includes “Itinerary Planning Fee” and “Tour Fee.”
The Itinerary Planning Fee is charged once you submit the Customized Tour Request Form and confirm your intention to commission Vacio to create a personalized itinerary.
After receiving this fee, our professional planners will begin crafting your exclusive itinerary based on your preferences. The fee varies depending on the number of days planned.
The Tour Fee covers the total cost of your trip — including professional itinerary design, transportation, fuel, entrance fees, accommodations, meals, experienced licensed guides (Chinese or English), local coordination, and all arrangements in Thailand.
The “Itinerary Planning Fee” will be fully deducted from the final Tour Fee.
(Tour Fee does not include guide and driver tips or personal expenses not mentioned in the itinerary.)
⑥ Why is there an “Itinerary Planning Fee” before the actual trip is confirmed?
We believe — and firmly uphold — that itinerary planning is a professional service.
Creating a well-designed tour requires time, research, and expertise. Each itinerary involves on-site inspections, safety evaluations, and local resource coordination to ensure the best possible experience.
Vacio also includes many hidden gems and exclusive experiences that are not commonly available through standard travel agencies. Unfortunately, we’ve encountered cases where customers used our detailed plans to book elsewhere.
Therefore, the planning fee ensures respect for our team’s professional effort and time investment.
⑦ If I have already paid the planning fee but need to cancel the trip, can I get a refund?
As explained above, itinerary planning is a professional service. Each proposal represents the planner’s dedicated time and expertise.
Once any itinerary details have been delivered, the planning fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
⑧ Can the quotation list each item separately (e.g. car, hotel, ticket costs)?
Our itinerary designers are like interior or graphic designers — their value comes from experience, creativity, and professional judgment.
A high-quality travel experience depends not only on your guide but also on the expertise of the planning team and operational support behind it.
For this reason, we do not provide separate breakdowns for individual cost items, in line with standard travel industry practices.
⑨ Can I make changes to the itinerary proposed by Vacio?
Yes, you may make up to three revisions after receiving the initial proposal.
If you require further changes beyond that, a modification fee of 500–1000 THB will apply, unlocking two additional revision rounds.
Since our itinerary is based on the Customized Tour Request Form, please take the time to fill it out carefully and thoroughly.
⑩ What’s the difference between “Customized Private Tours,” “Private Charter,” and regular “Day / Multi-Day Tours”? Which one is right for me?
Customized Private Group (Best) This is our premium, all-inclusive solution. With this option, you receive a professional guide, and our expert team handles all itinerary planning and bookings (transport, food, attractions) in advance. No pre-trip research is needed from you. Your guide manages the schedule, and the plan is highly flexible to accommodate last-minute requests. In case of any unexpected situations, our professional team is there to assist you. While the budget is slightly higher, this service guarantees a very high travel quality.
Chartered Car Only This service provides you with private transportation but does not include a guide. You are responsible for creating your own itinerary, which requires you to do all the pre-trip research and handle all bookings (like meals and attractions) yourself. While this option offers flexibility, time management is harder to control. In case of unexpected situations, you must manage them on your own. The budget is shared among your group, and the overall tour quality depends entirely on your own planning.
Day Tour This is a budget-friendly option that includes a tour guide who manages your time. All itineraries are fixed and pre-scheduled, so minimal research is needed from you, as bookings are part of the package. This option is less flexible for last-minute requests due to its structured nature. However, our professional team will assist in handling any unexpected situations. The budget is lower, and the tour quality is guaranteed to be above a certain standard.
